Another week, another recognition. The guys discuss their latest email recognition and catch up. There is a little more in depth of Fall, after Jay watched it last week. They discuss some Star Wars news, Last of Us casting, the Marvel Netflix shows being recognized as part of the MCU along with a quick review of Echo, and Dark Side of the Ring being renewed for a 5th season, which leads to a little extra wrestling talk.
The meat of the show is revisiting 2022 movies. Matt and Jay both re-rank their top 10 and talk about some of the other good and bad movies from that year. They also touch on 2009 (randomly).
They finish up with homework, including Letterkenny S12, Beau Is Afraid, You People, The Big Door Prize, What If…?, Low Vol 1-2, Joe The Barbarian (Dark Horse Comics), Loudermilk, Sound of Freedom, and Saltburn.

They then deep dive into what movies they didn't see in 2023 and how they think that will impact their upcoming best of list.

Another MCU heavy episode this week. We get right into the big MCU casting rumors on the Fantastic Four before touching on Marvel rethinking their strategy on movies. We touch on the trailer for What If...? Season 2 and hit the Madam Web trailer pretty hard, trying to sort out the history of Spider-Woman and where this fits in the Spider-verse timeline. We jump to DC, where casting on Superman: Legacy's villain has been announced; we spend a bit of time looking at Superman rogues and who would have been a better choice. We finish with a little bit of homework, including The Killer, Vice, and Darkest Hour.
