After catching up on Thanksgiving, Matt and Jay talk a little beer, specifically how good Narrow Gauge is.  They shift to the 3 new trailers released: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.  They also talk some MCU rumors for Deadpool 3 and Avengers: Secret Wars.  They then get into a large Batman discussion: the best Batman stories of any medium; there is talk of the Animated Series, Batman '66, Batman Beyond, and the comic books.  They end with a little bit of homework talk.

The Nyrdcast Podcast 148: They Went For It

Matt and Jay return to talk Halloween and their favorite scary movies.  First they talk about the DC Universe news: Henry Cavill back as Superman and James Gunn heading up the DC Cinematic Universe.  They also talk a little J.J. Abrams.  Matt also teases an awkward conversation for next week.  They don't discuss much homework, but plan on watching Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiousitites for next week.

The Nyrdcast Podcast 147: What’s It Going to Be This Time

Matt and Jay go pretty hard into watching kids grow up in today's society - from school to the control a parent has.  When we shift to pop culture, we look at Harrison Ford joining the MCU and his filmography; it leads to a small Star Wars discussion.  We then shift to comic books, where Matt goes a little into the Mark Waid Flash run, Jay runs through Paper Girls and compares it to the show.  They touch on a few other books and a couple of movies.

We drank a couple of 4 Hands' IPAs this week; Hazy Super Sodie and Glennon Live.

We go full on nerd this week.  Matt and Jay start by talking about life and how it drives us to drinking, which leads into a discussion around Good News Brewing (because we are an award winning beer podcast).  Quick touching on the new AEW back stage drama, the Spawn Movie, and the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer.  Then we deep dive into where to start reading X-Men comics and how there isn't really a great place to start prior to Hickman's run.  We end on the movie Hereditary.
